After weeks of speculation, Nokia 's new budget Windows Phone, the Lumia 525 , is now official. Unfortunately, there is no word on the availability and pricing of the Lumia 525 for various markets. However, Engadget notes that the Lumia 525's official listing includes three regions - Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East. The major highlight of the Nokia Lumia 525 is that the smartphone features 1GB of RAM, which is double than the 512MB RAM found on other budget Lumia smartphones ( Nokia Lumia 520 , Nokia Lumia 620 and Nokia Lumia 625). Other specifications of the Lumia 525 are identical to the Lumia 520. The Nokia Lumia 525 runs Windows Phone 8 with the Lumia Black update. Apple supplier Biel Crystal allegedly violating workers' rights in China

Biel Crystal Manufactory Ltd, a Hong-Kong based company that makes screens for Apple Inc, is violating workers' rights at its Chinese factories, a Hong Kong rights group alleged in a report. The Students & Scholars Against Corporate Misbehaviour (SACOM) report said Biel Crystal, which makes iPhone screens, requires its employees to work 11-hour shifts, seven days a week, with only one day off each month. Employees are also often injured and not given reasonable compensation and have to sign blank contracts, the report said. At least five workers at the firm's Guangdong factory in mainland China committed suicide since 2011, it added. There was no immediate comment from Biel Crystal on the report. LG G Flex curved display smartphone's bendable successor in the works

It appears that LG is already working on a successor to the G Flex curved display smartphone, one that sports better bendable features. A new report by ZDnet claims that the South Korean manufacturer is working on the LG G Flex's successor. The report reveals that the alleged G Flex successor, thought to be dubbed G Flex 2, would come with special hard rubber body allowing it to bend up to a 90 degree angle. Further, the report notes that the alleged G Flex 2 would include a flexible battery inside, although there is no word on the removable battery. The report also speculates that LG might launch the second smartphone in its G Flex series in Q2 2014. As of now, there is no word on the specifications of the rumoured G Flex 2 smartphone . Micromax has introduced the Canvas HD A116i, the successor to the Canvas HD smartphone for the Indian market. The Canvas HD A116i is listed at ecommerce website, eBay and is available at Rs. 14,299 (with free shipping). However, one can find cheaper deals on the online retailer as well. The domestic handset maker is yet to announce the smartphone officially, though.
